US Customary — Metric. Instructions Combine meat mixture: Add all the rissoles ingredients to a large bowl and mix everything until incorporated.
Make an indentation in the middle of the patty with your thumb. You should get about 15 rissoles. Fry the rissoles: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add half the patties to the skillet and cook for about 4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Transfer rissoles to a plate and repeat with remaining patties. Serve: Serve with ketchup. This will ensure your meat patties will stick together and not fall apart. Shape mixture into 8 rissoles. Coat lightly with flour. Heat a large frying pan over moderate heat; spray rissoles with oil.
Cook rissoles, in batches, minutes each side or until seared. Transfer rissoles to prepared dish. Pour passata over rissoles. Top with mozzarella. Bake minutes or until rissoles are cooked and cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve with salad. Notes Use 3 teaspoons dried basil leaves instead of fresh. So the rissoles are basic-mince, carrot, apple, egg, soft bread. Roll in plain flour. I double batch and freeze this too. Used Turkey for my first try, and they are delicious! Thank you! Lovely and easy recipe to follow. Made this with minced English lamb. The high fat content kept it lovely and moist. Made this for when my better half came home from work to save her having to cook.
