The lateral transfer space is 93cm 3ft 1in. The concourse was very spacious. Any Arsenal fans I did meet on route were very friendly and kept a low profile. No problem in wearing club colours around the stadium or the surrounding areas. I've been to the Emirates Stadium before, and yes it is a lovely stadium. The away support are housed in the corner between the East Stand and the Clock End, the padded seats are a bonus but frankly on an away day- I never sit down!
Watford were on a poor run of form, but on a wet Tuesday night, we were brilliant. Two nil up inside 13 minutes and the 3, travelling Hornets were in fine voice. I hate being overcritical, but the Emirates suffers from the tourist fans syndrome. There isn't enough ferocity towards the away support and I'm sure there are passionate Arsenal fans- would be nice to see them! The facilities were great and the queues for a half time beer weren't too long.
The stewards were brilliant and weren't an annoyance throughout the night. Very friendly and helpful. They even allowed some of the Watford Players to jump over the hoarding at full time to give their shirts away. I stayed in the ground for ten minutes after the game to celebrate with fellow fans and the players, despite that getting away was okay.
Please note that Holloway Road station is closed after the game, so all match day traffic is diverted to Arsenal station, and be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes. I did stop by the now world famous Arsenal Fan TV for a bit, no animosity from the Arsenal fans at all more congratulations than any hatred. It was a brilliant game obviously , and possibly the best away day this season. The atmosphere wasn't great from the Arsenal fans but nowadays that's expected. Out of all the away games, this is one I always prioritise.

Emirates Stadium Feedback. Josh Grainger Leeds United 8th January Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: Leeds fans were kept in for about 15 minutes after the game compared to one hour the previous year at Old Trafford, and when we were let out, there was very big crowds queuing for the tube, however no trouble occurred with both fans bantering instead. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: Good game, Nice Ground, Friendly all be it quiet fans!
Cameron Ormerod Bolton Wanderers 24th September Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: The tube station queue was massive after the game, luckily we were staying over so we took an over ground train, which was easier. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: Great stadium, great atmosphere but poor result.
Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: For a 60, attendance I thought this could be a nightmare! Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: By far the best club stadium I have ever done!
Harry Williamson Chelsea 21st April Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: Getting away from the ground was easy. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: The game was dull but the Emirates stadium is always quite an enjoyable day out. Thomas Walters Swansea City 25th March Why you were looking forward to going to the ground or not as the case may be : I define myself as a football fan as a traditionalist and anti-modern stadia but Arsenal seem to have actually done a decent job on the Emirates.
Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: As mentioned I went with the club coaches but after assessing the area if I was to come again by train I'd either get the Victoria Line to Highbury and Islington and walk the fifteen minutes or so up the Holloway Road turn right at Hornsey Road or get the Northern Line to Archway or Overground to Upper Holloway and walk the half hour or so down the Holloway Road turning left at Hornsey Road.
Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: It was the stereotypical but not typical rollercoaster of emotions that a football fan feels. Jim Burgin Neutral 26th April Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: Nightmare. Greg Harding Sunderland 5th December Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: We left a few minutes early and it paid off.
Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: Good day out, despite scoreline, but I wasn't really expecting us to get much from the game. Eric Spreng Southampton 2nd February Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: Again pretty straightforward.
Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: A most enjoyable day. Steve Postlethwaite Leicester City 14th February Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: Back onto the rather quiet coaches within a few minutes, and then a two hour crawl to get past the roadworks. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: Great day, amazing stadium, nightmare London traffic, disappointing result, but hey, we're still top of the league!
The Highbury Pitch — Now A Communal Garden Having never attended a game here I can only imagine the atmosphere which would have been created, and the bustle which would have filled the surrounding streets as 38, fans approached or left the ground. Stephen Barrow Watford 13th March Very Guardianista, but when in Rome…… What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the Emirates Stadium? Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: The away contingent stated for several minutes to celebrate a famous victory with the players and management.
Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: An amazing day out for Watford fans, and very easy logistics. Rob Dodd Liverpool 14th August Tube to Arsenal station, just around the corner from the Emirates Stadium. I arrived early but spent most of the time wandering around and taking it all in!

Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: It was helped by a wonderful result for my team but what a fantastic day out! Richard Stone Reading 25th October Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: Getting back to the coaches was very quick — there followed quite a long delay until the Police deemed the crowds to have dispersed enough to allow the coaches to leave.
Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: I was slightly disappointed with the facilities inside the stadium for the reasons mentioned, and very disappointed with the result, but Heigh-Ho, that's football! Ollie Revill Southampton 30th November Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: The usual matchday traffic but nothing major.
Once we were on the motorway it was plain sailing. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: Will always try and do Arsenal away every season, it really is a good one.
Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: Getting away from the ground is a nightmare on the coach. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: I enjoyed the day, but was disappointed by atmosphere in the ground.
Dave Watford 31st January Another Premier League away day. I always aim to do the London clubs. Comment on getting away from the ground after the game: I stayed in the ground for ten minutes after the game to celebrate with fellow fans and the players, despite that getting away was okay.
Summary of overall thoughts of the day out: It was a brilliant game obviously , and possibly the best away day this season. Mark Johnson Doncaster Rovers 20th September When the draw for the third round of the League Cup was made, it was the one tie I was dreaming of.
It was an e asy journey from Kings Cross and then alighting at Finsbury Park on the underground Victoria tube line. Having got off at Finsbury Park, I followed the crowd.
The walk towards The Emirates Stadium was like a journey of bygone years. Every street corner was geared towards the big match experience with the smell of fried onions and food and football merchandise vendors tucked into every available space along the route with the crowd growing in numbers on as we approached the stadium.
I challenge anyone not to be impressed by what must be one of the best stadiums in Europe. There was no opportunity to take a selfie with the stadium as a back-drop as the travelling Doncaster fans were certainly making the most of the occasion. The Emirates Stadium is equally impressive on the inside. Although the Doncaster fans were in full voice, for the first 25 minutes the Rovers team hardy got out of our own half as we sat in and tried to soak up the pressure from the Arsenal onslaught.
Theo Walcott eventually broke the deadlock and we feared the worst but the team from League One clawed their way into the match and emerged at half time with some credit. The second half was more even with Doncaster creating chances to have at least taken the game into extra time. During the game, the stewarding and police were first class and good-humoured banter was the order of the day. The sound of our theme-song: "we're just a pub team having a laugh" ringing out around such a majestic venue will be etched in the memory for years to come!
With no extra time, I had some minutes to spare before heading back to Kings Cross so I met up with my nephew and his friends for an after match pint close to the Highbury and Islington tube station. The station was pretty quiet and it was a no-fuss non-stop journey back to Kings Cross which took less than ten minutes. Absolute class. Although we lost by a solitary goal, the memories of visiting the Emirates Stadium will be a lasting one.
The whole experience was filled with unforgettable moments from getting off the train to getting home. George Crisp Norwich City 24th October It has been a couple of seasons since Norwich were able to play one of the top teams in England, and a cup tie under the lights against Arsenal was not something to miss.
Having never been to the Emirates Stadium before, I was excited to see if it was as amazing as people had described it to be. There are not any car parks that are nearby to the Emirates, so we drove into Bromley South London and took the train up to North London.
The train journey to the Emirates was simple. As we arrived into London earlier than expected, due to good traffic, we decided to take the train and explore Central London for a couple of hours.
As it was Leicester Square, you would expect this to be fairly pricey, and Shake Shack was no different. However, I personally felt the food quality was high enough to get your moneys worth. Afterwards, we went for a walk around Regent Street, before heading back to Green Park to take the tube to Arsenal. There were lots of Arsenal fans on the tube and we were the only away fans on there that I could see, but the Arsenal fans didn't bother with us.
If you take the tube to Arsenal station, then upon your arrival you will find the old Highbury Stadium, the old home of Arsenal. It is a fantastic ground, and I think it is a shame that they left it. Well, I felt like this until I came to the end of the walk to the Emirates.
The Emirates is one of the biggest stadiums I have been to, and the pre-match atmosphere in the area felt somewhat similar to the atmosphere before a game at FC Barcelona.
Upon arrival at the turnstiles, the process was simple. You insert your ticket into an electronic reader, before entering a medium sized concourse area. As we were given an allocation of 8,, I literally had to walk to the other end of the Clock End to find my seat. The seats inside the stadium are padded, which instantly makes them the most luxurious I've experienced.
As we were all standing, this was not a problem at all. It really was a game of two halves. In the first half, Arsenal were all over the place. Norwich capitalized on this and went up on 34 minutes through Josh Murphy. The scenes in the away end were absolutely crazy! In the second half, a lot of the first team Arsenal players were becoming tired, and Arsene Wenger decided to have a little faith in his youngsters.
The shining light of them all was Eddie Nketiah. He came on to the pitch on 85 minutes, and with his first touch, levelled the tie to The game went to extra time, and on the 96th minute, Eddie Nketiah scored yet again to win the game However, from kick-off to the end of extra time, the atmosphere from the Norwich boys was absolutely insane.
The queues at Arsenal tube station were horrendous, so we decided to walk to Finsbury Park, where we took the tube back to Victoria. From there, we travelled back to Bromley to begin the drive home, where we arrived home at about 1. The result may not have gone our way, but it was a memorable night for all Norwich fans at the Emirates Stadium and one which I will never forget.
Ceri Brace Swansea City 28th October A few of us decided to drive from West Wales and park the car at Hillingdon underground station which was very convenient. Then a 50 minute tube journey to Finsbury Park after changing at St Pancras. We arrived in plenty of time so decided to meet up with a few London Jacks in the Faltering Fullback pub, serving a number of great lagers, ales etc on tap coinciding with the early kick off being shown and away fans having a great welcome.
This is around a minute away from the Emirates Stadium. This is the most popular away pub which obviously gets packed closer to kick off. The Emirates Stadium is one of the most impressive grounds in the league and the away end is a good one too where away fans can generate a fair bit of noise, especially when travelling in bulk. A superb first half from the Swans resulted in Sam Clucas scoring his first for the club putting us up at half time. Unfortunately for us Arsenal were much better second half and turned the game on its head, albeit you wouldn't have known that judging by the home support who don't tend to make much noise at all.
The overall atmosphere is usually generated by the away fans. Stewards were okay before the game albeit a little slow checking other people's bags etc. The facilities were excellent. Stephen Welch Manchester City 12th August We had beat them easy the year before and this was the first game of the season as Champions.
Plus the Emirates Stadium is the best away ground I have visited in England. Very easy with no problems on the motorway. Drove a minibus so parked right next to the ground. But you had to email Arsenal and then print off the voucher for your window for the stewards and you had to be in your spot at least 2 hours before kick off before they shut the roads for the fans.
Went for a walk and yes found their fans friendly enough with no problems despite wearing club colours. Nice easy win again. Stewards were fine but didn't sample the food. A g ood day out obviously helped by the win. Arrived back in Manchester for just gone 10pm. Jack Richardson Doing the 92 22nd October I'm born and raised in Mansfield so I have always followed my local team however my father grew up in Leicester so I've always followed them closely from a young age.
In my attempt to complete the current 92 it was an excellent opportunity to tick off another ground. Living in Mansfield we opted to train it. We first drove to Newark which is around 15 miles from Mansfield and took the 4pm train into Kings Cross, arriving there at around 5. We got the tube to Holloway Road which is around a ten minute walk to the stadium.
There didn't seem many car parks around the stadium so would advise parking outside of London and hopping on the tube. We headed for the nearest Wetherspoons, The Coronet. Turn left out of Holloway Road and around a ten minute walk. Didn't really speak to any home fans but all seemed friendly enough. Having now done 86 of the current 92 I've had good experience of stadiums in the English league and I must say this one tops the list.
The surroundings of the stadium are good and look very appealing. The away end is excellent, we were three rows from the back so you do have the overhang of the middle tier but this does not obstruct views and TV screens are placed to the rear of the away end.
I did have a walk down to the front and felt the first 10 rows or so were very much pitch level. It's a fantastic place to watch football nevertheless. Leicester started well, their record at Arsenal is awful but previous visits had always provided goals so we were in for a good game. Arsenal showed their class second half and three excellent goals led them to a victory. The atmosphere was generally good from the home fans, it was louder than I expected as my opinion from TV games was that it was one of the quieter grounds in the Premier League.
The stewards were low key and friendly, a few children in the away end couldn't see due to standing, they took them up to a higher vantage point which was a nice touch. Getting away was tricky, Holloway Road was shut as it always is after matches, so we all piled out and headed towards Arsenal and Finsbury Park tube stations.
I would advise taking the extra ten minute walk to Finsbury Park as we got straight on the tube and back into Kings Cross with no issues. We arrived back into Mansfield shortly before 1.

Plus although Holloway Road Tube is closer, Arsenal Tube allows access making this answer doubly correct. Add a comment. My virtual location was on Benwell road. I'd say the nearest underground station would be Holloway Road, if that information is right. But the best information you find on the site of the stadium That site has a map I see what you mean by 'no turnstile information', I am sure there will be information on those boards I saw in street view, or on temporary ones.
